Any closing minute details for getting braces?
i hold gotton em on over 6 times (dont ask!)
it doesnt hurt dont worry-it is just a long process and it taste kinda bad
they provide u a band on ur molars fiist, to see ur size and stuff
first theu put this positioner entry is ur mouth, it makes your mouth stretch a lkot so they can see ur teeth, it will bother u for a minute or 2 but u will take used to it, u keep that piece on the WHOLE time
then here are these things that look like shots and stuff, i get really freaked out when i first saw them but actually, they dont walk in ur mouth! this is the cement that they put on ur braces after they stick the braces on ur teeth
**the cement kinda tastes desperate!
then they will put the rubber band on ur braces with things that look close to sisscors (they dont hurt) after that they put the wire-this is the most anoying part mete out after they slip it in ur mouth, they own to cut it to make it fit right
later that is it!Ur done
but after u do it, ask ur doctor for dental wax, and rubber cover up
when u acquire home use ACT mouthwash and for the first hour, ur teeth may be a little numb so drink chiefly fluids-clear fluids
then for the first year or 2 ur teeth may be a little sensitive so stick beside eating soup, pasta, and soft foods-avoid straws
every dark use Peroxyl mouthwash for like a week to hold on to ur gums storng from cuts and use dental wax and rubber coverups so u wont get blisters, they hurt for a moment but arent that bad. avoid sleeping on ur side, try to preserve ur head straight up for a couple of days
every morning and every dark use the Peroxyl mouthwash again for 2 weeks then after that of late use ACT mouthwash to keep ur teeth and gum s thriving. get some Super floss, made for braces-i sugest elictrical toothbrushes they hold on to ur mouth cleaner
dont worry-trust me- i have have my braces on for almost 4 years, i am gettin em off on July 3-my friend say it acutally hurts more to get em rotten so yea
Relax...its not torture :D
Seriously, it isn't a bad experience so don't get hold of stressed over it...and good luck.
achieve some extra strength tylenol or motrin and plan on eating soft stuff for dinner for a time or two... its not really painful, but when you first receive them on and right after they tighten them, your teeth or sore... oh and if you are in university and in group, make sure to carry a note excusing you from practice for a couple of days
pilfer a little Tylenol, because if you receive brackets on the back teeth sometimes that really starts to hurt because they're poking the backbone of your mouth. all you involve to do is say something to the dentist and he'll move the tool to a different spot. Other than that, it's really not desperate at all. Make sure you find wax!! If you had spacers, they are wayyyyyy worse than the braces themselves! Have fun and BE SHINY!
It's really not as discouraging as you may have hear. Take some Tylenol, maybe on the sports car ride there. I'm also not gonna falsehood, for me they absoloutley KILLED the next day-I stayed home from university...but if you got spacers on,I'd say aloud those are worse. Good Luck-it'll be worth it when everything's done. =]
take Advil until that time u go to the orthodontist
basically relax.i promise it doesnt hurt as much as people influence it does. i just get mine not even 2 months ago. there is some throbbing but its only after you hand down the dentist office. and its not that fruitless. tylenol takes support of it. and dont even try to chew hard or solid food for the 1st week. munch through soft things. well, thats adjectives i have for immediately so good luck!
Keep hydrated - the more hydrated you are, the quicker the mouth will 'toughen up'. A drier mouth will be much more sore as economically.
Dose up on painkillers
Use the provided dental wax for sores
Keep good oral hygiene
Gradually introduce your conventional diet back again - although you will inevitability to stick to soft foods for a few days, gradually introduce more solid 'normal' foods spinal column into your diet. Chewing increased blood flow to the gums, which will help attain past the horrible stage.
