Chin up comfort?

what muscles will chin ups work? how bout pull ups? or far-reaching grip chinups?


Answers:    Chin ups, pull ups, and far-reaching grips work basically alike muscles...just the beat is different on the different groups.

Chins (assuming you mean underhanded or supinated) directly work the biceps, latisimus dorsi, rhomboids, and traps. More beat on biceps in this one than the other two, since palms are contained by the supine position.

Pull ups put a little smaller number stress on the biceps and more on the lats, traps, and rhomboids.

Wide chins focus the most on the lats, mainly the upper/outer portion, and are much harder than the other two since smaller number of the axillary muscles are used to perform the hoist.
