Usually anywhere between 1000-10,000 depending on what area you are at, what surgeon you go to, etc. If you are only paying a few hundred bucks, then you are not getting the best technique out there and you are pretty much going to be guaranteed to have some sort of complication. Make sure you do your research on who you go to and what kind of experience they have. It's also best to ask around other optometrists or ophthalmologists for their recommendation on who they prefer in your area. It's best to go to a smaller practice and find a surgeon that gives you one on one time. It may be a little more expensive, but when it comes to your eyes it is worth it.
