Order: 500ml D%NS to run at 50 mL/hr; Drop factor is 15 gtt/ml?

how many hours will this IV run? What is the flow rate?

Answer:
500 ml / 50 mL/hr = 10 hrs.

15 ggt/ml X 50 mL/hr = 750 ggt/hr
this is from my classmate:

500 ml x 15 gtts= 500 ml/10hr= 50 ; 15gtts/60 min=4 ; 50 ml/hr/ 4 gtts/min= 12.5 gtts/min or 12-13 gtts/min

10 hr x 60 min

500ml/50 ml/hr= 10 hr

i own also checked this out in our hospitals book where on earth there are constant macro and micro drops or for the flow rate per number of hours
