Seriously, it depends on what you specifically want to do. You need at lowest 3 years (depending on what med school you want to walk to) but probably a 4-year Bachelor's Degree before you can progress to med school. You are properly (meaning you have your MD) after you graduate med conservatory, which is 4 years, but you still have your residency to jump after that. Residency is 2-6 years depending on what you want to do, and then you enjoy your fellowship, where you achieve into your specialty, and that can vary as economically, but is usually at least two more years. Then you enjoy to pass your licensure exam back you can officially stir into practice.

That is an interesting question but it really depends on what genus of a degree you would approaching. It is still possible to go to medical university and then keep hold of studying/ internships for ten years or more.... I do believe it is about 6 years at smallest for a good foot.
Personally, I would like to stay contained by college for at least 6 to 7 years to become a doctor. I yearning you good luck and near is no stop to learning...ever.
Well, you own to spend at least 18 years surrounded by school: 12 years elementary & minor (can be reduced by skipping grades), 2 years' pre-medical post-sec (ABSOLUTE minimum), 4 years med school, afterwards you're an MD.
Then you would normally do 3-7 years of postgrad work (internship/residency/fellowsh... to qualify within a medical specialty in charge to practice medicine. That make 21-25 years.
And most doctors are lifelong learners so you would probably travel on with continuing medical background for the rest of your life, and lessons, too, if you can manage it.
Of course if you don't count summers it's different. You draw from your summers off throughout elem. & sec. university as well as pre-med and usually the first couple of years of med conservatory. At 3.3 months per summer, that knocks bad around (3.3 x 16 / 12 =) 4 years, making the total to MD status only 14 years.
