Why cant we specfic bacteriophage for mineralwater treatment to avoid diarrhoea?

baceriophage are non pathogenic virus to human, they use e.coli thier host ,after suitable peroid of time it get into lytic cycle and finally it will lysis the e.coli which is causetative organism for diarrahoea .so why cant we specfic bacteriophage for mineralwater treatment to avoid diarrhoea?

Answers:
our stomach itself contains nearly 8 kgs of microorganisms, within which E.coli
comprises a major cut. apart from it E.coli is important for stomach's function. so the logic at the back using bacteriophages to kill E.coli cannot work undamagingly.
You are proposing to tamper nature, surrounded by this case, majority flora of the gut. We cannot eliminate only all the e.coli, or sterilize the gut unnecessarily.
The typical flora that blankets the lining of the gut can protect against pathogenic organisms. It is the predominance of one organism that cause the disease like infectious diarrhea.
Treatment is usually supportive (let the body heals/flushes itself but aid the body keep its essentials) or if a sensitive causative agent is found, rule of antibiotics.
Killing all microbes makes you lose Vitamin K production surrounded by the gut, and makes the gut susceptible to other organisms that can basis diarrhea, too (like fungi, protozoans and viruses).
