If psychologists be ever competent to prescribe drug, would they see a profit from it?

I'm kind curious for the reason they are pushing for psychologists to be able to prescribe medication. Would they make a dime stale of it?

Answer:
Psychiatrists can prescribe medication but do not make any money rotten it. You pay the pharmacy for the medication, not the doctor. Psychiatrists sometimes make money from pharmaceutical companies by carrying (and distributing) those free sample, but that's it.

I would imagine psychologists, if they could prescribe medication, would be no different.
