My ferritin level are 12 (range is 15-150) but my hemoglobin is dutiful.?
Answer:
From what I read, ferritin measures to amount of stored iron. So your stores of iron are probably lower than common, but there is plenty available for producing a normal amount of hemoglobin.
There may be oodles reasons why your ferritin is rather low right now: medication, heavy period, too little iron in your diet, etc., etc. Adding some iron to your diet seem like a right first move, as the previous writer suggested.
Ferritin is a a.k.a. Iron. You can have low iron and still own a normal Hgb (hemoglobin). If you don't bring a multi-vitamin w/ iron, could be that's all you obligation. Getting your Iron levels final up can also help correct any whiteness or tiredness you may have be experiencing. Now, please, don't go overboard w/ the iron. Just transport the vitamins as directed. Walmart has a fitting multi-vitamin that is pretty inexpensive. It's call OneSource. Try it and let me know how you be aware of in a couple days. Sorry for writing a book.
