What portion of the brain is served by the anterior and middle intellectual arteries?
Answer:
The anterior cerebral artery supplies the medial portions of the frontal and parietal lobes and corpus callosum. The middle intellectual artery supplies large portions of the frontal, parietal, and temporal lobe surfaces. Branches of the anterior and middle mind arteries (lenticulostriate arteries) supply the basal ganglia and anterior appendage of the internal capsule.
Please see the trellis pages for more details on the anterior and middle psychological arteries.
