Pill Identification/placebo Question? Answers by doctors or nurses preferred.?
So, I took 2 right away because it have been almost eight hours since my second dose, and after taking it there seem to be no effect at all on my stomach-ache and did not at all engender me feel anything approaching the original oxycodone I have been taking.
Is it possible that my doctor for doesn`t matter what reason prescribed me a placebo drug because he believes my agony is not legitimate or as severe as I put together it out to be? Is this something that is even a remote possibility?
Answer:
It is dishonourable and Illegal for a Doctor to give you a Placebo when you enjoy a real intention to take them.
It's also Illegal for you to know how to call contained by a "refill" for this medication. This is a Control 2 medication which means that you necessitate a new prescription every time you pick it up. The doctor can't even phone up in for refill.
Unless you miss spoke, I would worry that the pharmacy misunderstood and complete one of your other medications or even give you someone else's.
Double check the name of the drug and the long-suffering name on the bottle to brand name sure it's the one you want.
If you did miss speak than it's quite possible that the pharmacy get two different brands of the same medication, but if this be the case than they should own affected you like peas in a pod.
I'm not sure what's really going on here but I do know there is NO method that the doctor would ever give you a placebo. As a situation of fact, they're impossible to even grasp unless you are a drug company conducting a research study.
Doubtful, if the first prescription was the valid thing the second should be. I would query the pharmacist about the spanking new prescription, let him know that it is not doing anything for the agony.
Did the prescription read obecalp? If not then it be most likely a generic.
at hand has to be a label of the medication (probly a generic name) on the bottle. You cant have a prescription packed with out that so the lenient knows what they are taking. No placebo pills are given to trick the lenient. Trust me, I am a dentist that gets hit up every friday by addict in flush and I wish I could do that. My trick is to prescribe something that does not enjoy a euphoric effect but claims to be adequate for like level of cramp as indicated by the PDR.
They probably changed the manufacturor from whom they get generic oxycodone. This happen all the time. Also, for masses, if you think a backache medication isn't going to work, it won't.
