Westinghouse. East Pittsburgh. World War II. High Frequency Carrier Wave Traps.Phenol Formaldehyde panel..?

My father, Louis M. Kram, worked at Westinghouse East Pittsburgh between 1939 and 1943, inclusive. His work history indicates that his positions while at Westinghouse East Pittsburgh were: "Tester" and "Group Leader."

The products produced produced by Westinghouse during the 1942 - 1943 time interval include:

"H.F. Carrier Wave Traps" ("H.F." is the standard abbreviation for "illustrious frequency".)

"P.F. Panels" (This work entails the use of Phenol Formaldehyde (P.F.))
Interestingly, on Mr. Kram's officeholder Westinghouse record, the box entitled "unbeatable security clearance held" be left blank.
He died contained by 1978 of primary liver cancer. He had no history of drinking, cirrhosis, and/or any hepatitis. The U.S. Department of Energy have asked me to provide information as to why I believe his death be work-related, in charge for our family to receive
survivor benefits. Our family circle woul be grateful for any information provided which is relative to this thing. <Princeton67@Cox.net>

Phenol Formaldehyde, nor either phenol or formaldehyde on their own, enjoy been proven to enjoy any carcinogenicity, though formaldehyde is a suspected carcinogen.

Unless you can somehow prove extremely high exposure level, I think you'd own a rough time proving that working with those be a primary contributor to your father's cancer (and even extremely high exposure levls may not be adequate, since there's no direct proof that any of those chemicals cause cancer).
