What is ischemia reperfusion injury?
Answers:
When a part of the body is deprived of oxygen.for example, from a blocked artery, it uses alternative maetabolic pathway to generate energy.this lead to potential toxic metabolities, free radicals, low pH states.when the blockage is cleared, afterwards all the "desperate chemicals" are now free to flow into the adjoining tissues.this can actually affect and basis the noraml tissue to get injured or behave inappropriately.as in reperfusion cardiac arrhythmias after using clotbustung drugs
AllI know is that ischemia medium lack of oxygen. I don't know what reperfusion is, but fusion is joining together. I hope someone near more knowlege answers you.
