Why is stem cell research and psychiatric therapy so controversial?
Answers:
because it means a child have to die. Harkens back to some of the experiments that NAZI Germany did
Stem cell are humans
Because some people own the dim witted notion that a 2 cell combination on an egg and a sperm is somehow a child and that it should be protected by killing citizens.
Still not sure where the bible say it's ok to kill someone to gather someone else.
People, like the previous posters (and I'm sure in attendance will be more by the time I finish this) seem to believe that the collection of cell in cross-examine is actually a being.
That's ridiculous. We're talking roughly about a blob of cell that is not even as remotely complex as a housefly. If you're dead set against stem-cell research, try applying your "compassion" across the board and engaging within some militant veganism.
Imagine a group of 150 or so cells. This is not a soul any more than an acorn is an oak tree. Try to use just a modicum of use, please.
What is unconscionable is that actual people are suffering and their suffering could be alleviated by stem-cell research. The cures to Parkinson's and Alzheimers are at our fingertips. If singular we could put these silly myths behind us, we could live surrounded by a much better world.
Because everyone has their own view about everything.
but the item most medai and peolpe do not distinguish between is embrionic stem cells (a child already that would be killed) which have had no certain medical benifets or cures to date. and adult stem cell taken from certain body parts and embilical cords, that have had lots advances and a few cures already. they other group the two together and say we want it or they wont alow it instead of splitting the two up. there is no actual reason to be against full-grown stem cell researce.
