What would come up if peppermint or peppermint grease be injected directly into the bloodstream?

I had hear some medical news just about how peppermint oil kill certain infectious diseases (one virus contained by particular) in the lab but rule in the human body be not yet an preference. I was wondering what the effects of direct intraveineous application would be?
