What is narcotic count and how do you count it?
Answer:
The narcotics count is just as it sounds. Every year or else every shift the narcotics that are surrounded by stock are counted. Obviously there is a morning count of respectively controlled substance, which is kept under lock and switch (usually a double lock) then respectively time a staff member uses some it is accounted for on the log and the patient's cross that gets it is on in that too. At the end of the shift or time the count is done again. Assuming no one is pilfering consequently the count will be correct. It is also usually done by two people.
